International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 405
Check your name on the out of work list at the bottom of the page, if it says November across from your name, you need to re-sign by Monday.
After careful consideration, we have decided to temporarily alter our book signing procedures. For local members: If you are unable to initially sign in person due to Covid restrictions, (ie, Covid positive, quarantine restrictions), you may call the hall and arrangements will be made. For members of other locals: We will be temporarily allowing BA to BA Book 2 signing, upon receipt of a travel letter and current dues receipt. Please include a phone number and your SSN. These measures have been enacted solely due to the ongoing pandemic and the upward trend in local positivity numbers. This is considered strictly temporary and only until further notice.
Local 405 and NECA have suspended drug screening effective 11/20 for 90 days due to the pandemic and the need to limit contact in Eastern Iowa. Please call the hall if you have mistakenly been selected for screening.
Local 197 Bloomington is a good place to go sign.
Local 176 Joliet is putting travelers out with regularity. Very good place to go sign.
Keep an eye on Local 13 Burlington and Local 288 Waterloo, they've been putting our members to work with some regularity.
Local 347 Des Moines remains a pretty good book to sign. They're still getting OT calls, and expect more, although things have slowed down a bit since what was basically a walk through this summer. 4o hour calls are pretty wide open.
Local 364 Rockford will be a good place to sign in early 2021, Facebook is coming to town.
